Project
Description: |
|
- |
Purpose of the Democratic Leadership Program: |
| |
The purpose of the Democratic Leadership Program
operating under the ENC is to promote a democratic
mindset throughout the movement at all levels, through
strategic use of Democratic Leadership Workshops. |
| -
|
Strategy we will use to promote this purpose: |
| |
The primary target groups for workshops will be the
younger generation and ethnic groups, including women's
organizations; however leaders support will be sought
through awareness rising among them and by inviting them
to participate where possible along with the younger
people in DLWs. |
|
- |
Vision: |
|
• |
To promote Democratic Leadership within movement
organizations |
|
• |
To impart the skills needed for the leadership to
practice a democratic style of leadership which empowers
the people to participate in the political process and |
|
• |
To encourage members of the movement to embrace
Democratic Leadership concept to their work for
the democratic movement |
Methodology:
We will conduct the workshops using participatory
methodology and try to be relevant to the participants'
situation and skills needed to practice a participatory
methodology within movement to promote civil society.
We
believe targeting younger people and women are a good
strategy for our purpose, as they are more open to
learning about this approach.
